Has Serial done anything interesting lately? The first season was probably the best podcast series ever made, season two was mediocre and I don't think I've listened since then. Am I missing out?

series 3 was a lot better than 2 and is worth a listen. It follows different people through the US criminal system.

            S-Town

Genre-bending listen. What you think you're listening to for the first couple of episodes morphs unrecognisably. Seven episodes of about an hour each.

(Serial is from the creators of This American Life podcast; S-Town is from the creators of Serial and TAL).

Funny how many good podcasts have their roots in This American Life. Didn't one of the Gimlet guys come from there as well?

Even though This American Life is technically radio, it's still a fantastic podcast.

Yeah...Alex Blumberg. Season one of his podcast Startup on trying to start up a podcast company is well worth a listen, later seasons not so much.
