    It's not that bad Driving is Balkan style (similar to Italian style) aggressive drivers with added "bonus" of threat of physical violence. Not really bandit country in terms of RSA, carjacking etc.

    Stay clear of G-wagons and S-klasse MBs, especially if in convoy. They are the wheels of choice for the local "chiefs"

    BTW: The alcohol level for driving is virtually zero. If you drink (which is cheap) take a taxi (which is also cheap). Sit in the front of the taxi and check the meter. (I have never met a bad taxi driver in BG though but Hungary is full of them)
