As others have said, I suspect we will get a soft brexit (which i am more than fine with) as the ERG are now irrelevant and Boris can now triumphantly claim that he delivered on Brexit even if it takes an extra year or two.

On the other hand it looks like Corbyn is not keen on leaving immediately, and unless they move to the center they are finished for the foreseeable future.

If IR35 rollout is shelved that would be a bonus!

That does add an interesting twist. There will probably be conditions on any deal with the EU.
In the end I guess the UK as a medium sized power had to align itself with one of the 2 powerful blocs, the EU or the US.
The stupids have picked the latter and are probably not going to like the long term free-market implications.

Scottish independence is now dead too. Not only because Boris won’t grant the vote but because Brexit makes it a far more risky, ironically.

Johnson has enough of a majority to ignore the ERG Spartans now. Remember, he's not a true believer in anything except himself. Proper narcissistic personality disorder territory.

It’s pretty obvious. No pressure from the Brexit Party, UKIP etc. No internal pressure from the ERG. Boris is a serial liar. A softer Brexit is easier to achieve and gives him more money to spend on garden bridges. All those things do not add up to a hard Brexit.

Sadly you're right. Bang goes my plan to buy a nice pad in Chelsea following a hard-Brexit crash.
Have to spend the money elsewhere now.

So like Norway, Freedom of movement will remain and we'll increase our net contributions to the EU without having a say in policy?
