IR35 in its present form will go ahead regardless of any election promises.
The Northern stupids have to be bribed and they're more important politically than a bunch of contractors who have no sympathy among the general population at all.

Labour would have done the same, mind.

Actually isn't the Norway model free movement? That's not going to happen.

On one hand IR35 in private sector all set for April, on the other no Corbyn divi tax in line with income tax and whatever else he intended fleecing hard working business owners with?

F*** b*****, it'll be all done by Jan then the trade deal wrangling will commence, but we can at least concentrate on earning a crust and not having to dumpster dive for it under a bankrupt Labour led country.
IR35 was always going to go ahead - Employers NI is worth £70bn to HMRC and that must be protected at all costs.

Norway gets free movement as they are part of Schengen, which we aren't. Boris will spin it as retaining border controls, full checks on foreign nationals on entry etc. All that will happen is that the signs in the immigration lanes will change from EU/Non-EU to UK/Non-UK arrivals.

They get free movement because they’re part of the single market. Schengen membership goes further and removes the need to show a document when passing from one country in the zone to another.

The only thing Boris needs to do to reduce low level immigration is to change our benefit laws - all he needs to do is to switch them to requiring x years of contributions prior to any payments (and count the years of secondary education prior to 18 as those years for people in the UK).

It will be a hard brexit. Now that boris will take whatever deal trump will want him to take, the uk won't need a EU deal anymore.

The arrogance of the south comes shining through on Facebook. Horrified in their million pound houses that people weren't happy with Corbyn's proposals to screw the country outside the bubble.

Agree that UK contractors with UK clients will be screwed over the next five years (that was the outcome in all circs) but I would expect a soft-ish Brexit now. The ERG has been rendered moot. I only say soft-ish because they will go for more immigration controls. If they row back on that, it will be even softer.

Well done you for making an attempt to bring the divided country together...
