The IT Industry - 20 Years Of Bubbles

    1998-2001 - dot com bubble

2002-2005 - the 'digital agency' bubble - ie companies who had no in house dev resource and/or no proper web presence invest in a website

2006-2009 - ecommerce bubble - tipping point of ecommerce where even non techies buy stuff online so everyone wants a transactional website. Kept digital agencies in work for a few more years

2010-2013 - agile bubble - agile went mainstream replacing waterfall as defacto standard for project management

2013-2016 - mobile bubble - everyone wanted a mobile app or responsive website. mobile internet use passes desktop for first time 2016

2016-2019 - devops bubble - devops replaces agile as hype / buzzword leader - companies move from on prem to cloud + automation
    - AI / Machine learning - buzzwords started getting over used 2018/2019. People with brains started seeing through the BS of the over use of these terms

2020 - Cant see a bubble so far
