If nothing else I know of one sportswear company that I won't be applying to...

I am still getting flashbacks of "Did you really do/say that" from that night.

No, another in Bury. That was NL's confusion, which went down fantastically every time he referred to the head guy by the wrong name.

Well. Erm.. At least he will remember me.

There was a perm role advertised there the other week. Didn't apply for obvious reasons.

Like he's the one doing the interviews

You should have gone for it and used the encounter as part of your patter.

To be fair that would make quite a good story for the interview. Got drunk with the owner and called him Mike all night.

                  Least you got TOIL.....

Not unheard of for some places to not even allow that when you've worked and they decide they dont want to pay though.
Mate of mind used to brag they owed him 35 TOIL days. The managed changed he got canned - TOIL gone. No way were they going to pay a final invoice of an extra 7 weeks.

Silly to let it build up to that level. I'd agree with the management to add a couple of weekends a month to the time sheet to use up the days.

                      Agreed. Never do that....
I'm not keen on TOIL even for small amounts to be honest. Sometimes its like the client thinks if its TOIL they're not really paying for it.

Sometimes you do have to make the decision though..... I do it now for "On Call". Wish I hadn't agreed to "help out" now to be honest a year ago but if I bail now its going to look bad.
