    The Sun readers

“ The joint venture with the Australian betting company Tabcorp – which thought that it would be able to break into the UK market by gaining access to Sun readers – was considered such a disaster by the bookmaker that it paid the newspaper a £39.5m fee to exit the deal early. ”

I'm not a fan of the Sun, but what's the point you are making?

He's making a point about Sun readers, yet nobody reads the Sun. They just look at the pictures. I think he's saying sales went south when the pictures became 'less biologically interesting'...

Sadly according to the Audit Bureau there are still 1,250.634 looking at the pictures in the Sun down from 2,409.811 when they stopped Page 3 in 2013

But the Guardian is in no position to throw stones, it is down to 132.341 - not sure that can be a viable number any more

130,000 of those are to be found somewhere in the BBC...

It felt like that many, I can assure you.
