Kids have been at home since Friday in Ireland. Today was my first day working at home and minding kids (aged 11and 8) while Mrs OG was at work.

They did two hours schoolwork, one hour cycling, half an hour trampolining, some art and some telly.

      I got a day's work done.

Fine for a day, but it's going to be a loooooooong Apocalypse.

And who is paying the parents to sit at home not working?

EDIT posted before seeing OG's view on the world. Sounds a bit utopian but I guess if the kids can occupy themselves all day without supervision then my concern will come to naught.

Not a clue - as that bit hasn't been revealed yet but needs to be soon...

Kids under about 7 can't be occupied like that.

One of my colleagues said that his neighbours little girl was sad about school being closed. But she said to him "but I know it's to protect old people like you". He's 50.

This is what worries me. Its a fight to the death at Brillo towers. My kids are much bigger than yours so I might need to shut myself in the basement.

I asked DS1, aged 5, why he punched another child. "Getting my retaliation in first"....
