Much like when NLyUK chains you to the radiator but leaves you enough room so you can gnaw your arm off and escape.

Government guidance clear as mud as usual.

Twitter messaging says only key workers can go to work. Boris statement and official guidance online says no such thing, or just says you can go to work if you cannot work from home.

Full guidance on staying at home and away from others - GOV.UK

Takeaways and other food delivery services can stay open:

      Construction work can continue.

      Other questions remain.

What do you do if you need an MOT? They’ve suspended them for 3 months for HGVs but not cars or motorcycles.

What do you do if you’re a self employed trade? Can plumbers/electricians/gas engineers go to work? A lot of their work is in people’s houses which you’d assume is off limits, but emergencies will still need seeing to. Leaks, faults etc.

Can my window cleaner still go out and try and salvage a living? It’s not like he needs to come into contact with anyone.

What happens if you’re due to move? Especially if you’re in the process of buying and have exchanged or are due to complete imminently. Will you be able to get your stuff moved?

        Simples, just...

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I think this is what Boris can do under the current legal framework without new laws. We already have the ability to impose strong emergency controls unlike other countries who had to declare national emergencies. However they're currently discussing a corona act in parliament so more rules may follow...

So they've added a few extra non essential businesses to the list like hairdressers, nail salons etc. places which are most likely empty as it is now, so might as well shut the.. Apart from that, business as usual...

                The police, apparently.

Even if some people flout the rules, simply having the rules clearly laid out will improve compliance.

I'd rather not. If I ask my MP she deciphers his ramblings for me.
