More news on the radio - City Airport has closed to commercial and private traffic. Not sure what other traffic they would have. Maybe a bit of cargo, perhaps.

        Good.

Even cargo surely has some hard surfaces (or even cardboard for 24hrs) that the virus can live on and thus still possibly further the spread

Too true! Airports are full of our jam exports!

How much international trade is using the City Airport?
                (less than £1B?)

Have any disinfectant measures been announced/employed to mitigate the risk, that I highlighted?
(Like the hazmat-suited people using gas, used in other countries)

Otherwise I stand by my statement.

PS. Ask NAT for help if you don't understand the question with 'less' in it, we know this confuses you and makes you angry & sad

Probably safer to shut Heathrow and Gatwick and run everything on smaller planes at LCY.

How are you quantifying that risk reduction?

Would it not be safer to use a lesser number of larger planes, disinfected with gas etc.?

E.g. Aren't smaller planes at greater crash risk?
