          Have a property renting for an Auntie who popped her clogs in Dec
          Going through Probate & had already given the tenant 2 months notice to quit on the 27th of this month so it can be sold
          It will be interesting to see if he actually departs on the 27th or tries to delay due to this announcement

              The good landlords will want to support good tenants. It's the crappy landlords that will kick a minimum wage tenant out of their poorly maintained, damp-ridden hole that need to be strung up.

                ^^^Rather reminds me of the house my very late great aunt rented in Sketty, where she'd been a sitting tenant for donkey's years.

                It still had gas lighting in the 1970s.

                    In the past 5 years, local authorities in England have paid out more than £35m in compensation and legal fees to people living in “unfit” homes (BBC).
                    £35 million paid out that could have been used to build new social houses.

                    It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
