In the space of a few short years the government has gone from Austerity for the masses / bottomless money for HS2, 3rd runway consultants, Brexit & DUP, magic bridge garden - to full Jeremy Corbyn. Impressive.

A number of Deutsch companies are now practicing kurzarbeit (er reduced hours?) so that they don't lose skilled employees. It is often argued this is why Germany recovers quicker that others at the end of a recession as they then do not have to spend time looking for new workers. Wonder if UK employers ever thought to do this before firing folk.
Yep - the local manufacturing firms would if they weren't completely run off their feet at the moment due to renewed demand from china.

For those firms that had logistics that contained China in their supply chain they are currently closed due to no stock...

One thing this crisis is going to force is the recreation of local supply chains (or 3d printing) in a way that still exists in Germany and virtually no where else.
