    PM: real tough measures

“ In the letter being sent to 30 million households at an anticipated cost of £5.8m, Mr Johnson - who is self-isolating in his Downing Street flat after contracting coronavirus - writes: "From the start, we have sought to put in the right measures at the right time.

"We will not hesitate to go further if that is what the scientific and medical advice tells us we must do."
Britons will also receive a leaflet detailing government rules on leaving the house, guidance on hand-washing, an explanation of coronavirus symptoms and advice on shielding vulnerable people.”

Tough measures should have been to order some ventilators. To date, none of the UK ventilator manufactures has had any orders from the Uk government. Conversely, the Uk ventilator manufactures have been selling to the EU and rest of the world. Why give the contract to Brexit and Tory donor Dyson to design a new one?

It is an absolute fact. Have you been ignoring the news? The government knew they were short of ventilators in January. Bojo even rejected the offer to join the EU procurement program to buy ventilators.

What sort of religious following of Boris does someone need to deny facts?

Why would you join an EU procurement program where you would be bottom of the list when you can purchase / make your own far more quickly.

Erm.. Haven't they ordered 10k ventilators from Dyson? That agreement must have been in the wings getting thrashed out for awhile so I'm not sure your facts stand up.

I think you'll find he didn't reject it. They missed it.

To stop program members from preventing exports of ventilators you might have ordered earlier
