Call for equality in COVID-19 support

If you agree that the current COVID-19 financial support measures are grossly unfair, please add your support by signing a petition to address this: http://chng.it/yTxvNPD4BT

@Moderators - this is my first post, I appreciate that embedding links might be frowned upon but please approve, this is an urgent matter impacting many of us.

I won’t sign this - this is what warchests are for.

Mortgage holidays apply to everyone, so that will be a help to those people with one.

      Nope, won’t be signing this.

Being in business means preparing for the bad times. You can’t have your profits taxed like a business and your losses socialised like a pseudo-employee.

The government has put forward quite a comprehensive package that should help the majority of those that need it.

Now if you were saying that those on zero hours contracts are at risk and need help, then I'd wholeheartedly agree with you.

What I suspect you're getting het up about is that investment income (i.e. your monthly dividends paid regularly like a salary because you could never cope without a regular, guaranteed income) isn't falling under the 80% PAYE grant and you've spaffed all your earnings on a big house and a fancy car so have no savings to fall back on.

It should be like the NHS. Driven by need.
