    Coronovirus - the truth?

More or Less: Behind the Stats
Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter - Cambridge

More or Less: Behind the Stats - The Risk - BBC Sounds

    Summary

death profile follows that normally seen - fewer young people / more old men
virus is more transmittable and more damaging than normal flu
deaths would have happened in next year or so without CV19 - brought forward by the virus so would overwhelm NHS if no action had been taken
Imperial College study numbers are probably correct

        Hi GoT

That would mean doubling every 2 days or so - I hope not.

        684 last 24 hours (Telegraph) - I hope < 1200 - will come back to thread in a week's time and we'll see who's nearest.

        Best regards

That definately won't happen - there is no testing capacity to validate so many death as Covid-19.

ICU bed demand is the critical 'thing', not deaths.

Another plus side, is there has been almost nothing on the Labour leadership contest in the media. Or Br*****.
