There are enough differences in a population of 70 million (UK): what does a hedge fund manager in Chelsea really have in common with a Glaswegian alcoholic (although the peculiar structure of the English class system means the latter may fawn on the former)?
Seems there is more variation within a population than between populations.
And the educated elite across countries have more in common with each other than their lesser talented co-nationals.
