Halifax index: House prices fall in April 2020 thanks to coronavirus | Daily Mail Online

£2000 cheaper. So that nice 3-bed semi that was up for £600,000 is now yours for £598,000.

      It will get worse.
Keep your wallet closed for now.
There will e a delay on this. Look from July on. If you need financing you might struggle.
It is possible there will be a bit of a dumping from around September/October by disgruntled residential landlords who have had enough of tenants taking the **** during COVID-19. As an example I have 5 trouble residential tenants out of 7. I am considering a disposal but it might not be "dump and run". I do know landlords who are preparing to dump portfolio's. Some are advertising with me.

For repo's look to the new year.

For those of you that would like a conversion project pubs will be coming to the market in larger than usual numbers in the next 6 months. A nice country pub converted to a magnificent country home perhaps?

For the foodies amongst you that want to quit contracting restaurants coffee shops and the like will take a knocking in value there will be bargains to be had big time.

If you are a foodie/beer monster who wants to leave contracting and live in the sun, the spanish market is already heavily discounted especially pubs/restaurants/cafes/bars run by ex pat brits on the costa del sol. I can sell you a restaurant there for under €20k.

You sound more like an estate agent than an IT bod.

Where are these dumping landlords' portfolios based?

Are you the guy who used to spam me with adverts for high yield developments in various cities? Finally managed to block their emails by finding a unique tag in the email text

                    NO NOT A CHANCE
I don't spam. Only consent based marketing.
You only get marketing from me if you ask for it, for as long as you ask for it and what you ask for. I won't send you details of an office block when you are only interested in restaurants.
If its any consolation I get about 30 of these a day.
They are usually good for a giggle here.
