Except it's not on hold everywhere in the UK, you idiot.

You don't even bother reading posts do you. You just repeat your own made up claptrap in an effort to garner sympathy and support.

Have you been called to a cancer screening hospital in the last 7 days?
Have you been to a cancer screening hospital in the last 3 days to have a scan?

One of us can answer YES to both of those. You, on the other hand, just repeat your lies.

        I am learning.

I'm also waiting for the results of the scan I couldn't possibly have had at an NHS hospital because it's impossible for them to have done the scan according to some bloke who's happy to spread lies.

There's no such thing as a 'cancer screening hospital'. Cancer screening programmes (see Cancer screening and coronavirus (COVID-19) | Cancer Research UK) are on hold. These are the programmes to routinely screen people who are not suspected of having cancer, which is separate from the process of being referred by your GP for signs and symptoms that suggest you may have cancer.

Putting screening programmes on hold is sensible enough due to the balance of risk between missing the opportunity for early detection vs risk of infection. A bit more concerning is delaying follow up appointments for patients with an abnormal screening result. Again, it is probably OK given the balance of risk.

There will be a need to accelerate screening and follow up when safe to do so (extended hours perhaps) to catch up.

All the best with your own diagnostics and treatment.

Sorry, my poor choice of language. The hospital I was at is one that specialises in performing scans for cancers in the head and neck.

Thankfully it's not me doing the diagnosis.

Welsh NHS is a mess at the moment - and was even before the 'virus' hit town. I can't express how much I despise the Welsh Gov.

Wife has been off work ill (not virus related) for about 5 weeks now. Took her to A&E and she was seen and then told to go home even though she was still seriously ill but they couldn't get a CT scan done (which they say she needs) due to the corona lock-down.

Her GP is equally p'd off at not being able to order tests for many patients who need them - he told me this himself while explaining that if he ordered her a CT scan it would just get ignored.

My elderly father had a major cancer op just before the hospitals stopped 'routine' surgery but he hasn't had any follow up appointments and his appointment to check his 'count' looks like isn't going ahead either - this is all due to the corona lock-down even though Welsh hospitals have no capacity issues and are fully staffed.

...final rant....just to prove this isn't all 'corona' related....

My warchest is almost empty because last year my daughter got diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. 3 to 4 month waiting list in England with surgery potentially available (funded by the NHS) in private hospital if the NHS wait is excessive; waiting list under the Welsh NHS - 1 to 2 years with no private surgery funding available as it goes against the Welsh Governments socialist principles!

Screw the Welsh Gov and screw the muppets who keeping voting in socialist academics who are more concerned with 'principles' than providing medical treatment.

Would you prefer to have Eton spaffers, who are more concerned with profits than people?
