Could we please not contaminate yet another thread with economic speculation?

This one is to gloat about the dropping of London house prices, and maybe chat about what's happening in other areas

You say everyone is, but a quick Google proves, once again, that you like to spout rubbish and hope no one checks the facts.

These are all from the 1st page in Google. You really do make up a lot of tulip.

I could have posted more but I think this proves a point

Update your search results for a month before, not the present day, yah numpty. You asked the average joe just as recently as a month ago, they were all bull. Not me. I called it

          Sorry.

But you know, we're all doomed.

We pulled out of a major house move when C-19 hit, the idea being that I didn't want to take on ridiculous levels of debt (offered due to my contract rate) and in the hope that house prices will fall.

But I can't see it happening.

            Stock markets are booming again.

House prices are holding up and are unlikely to fall because of lessons learnt during the 2008/9 crisis.

Low interest rates, unlimited money-printing, seller apathy. All contribute to a market that is supported at its core, whether you believe that to be unethical or not is irrelevant. It will only ever go up.

I think it's too early to call.

Recession is a certainty but could a depression be on the cards?

I hate to think what unemployment could peak at.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.
