Well as she was broadcasting at the time I'm sure they reviewed the footage. Eye witnesses were fairly confident he said it.

Yes there are 100s of knife attacks a day normally related to drug dealers killing each other but domestic violence, mugging and turf wars between cultures also figure.

There are only a few terrorist attacks a year and a resurgence is worrying.

If he'd been white and shouted "Britain First" (or "Australia First"), he would have been a lone wolf or mentally ill. You should know how it works by now.

He would have still been a terrorist, does being one preclude one from being mentally ill?

He may well be a lone wolf, lets see what the Police discover.

The thread makes a good point about the rising threat of terrorism.

Did you listen to the clip?

She's not on camera so it's just a voice over, so we can only listen to what happened. You can't hear him when he "yelled the words Allah Akbar" - if he says it, it's not yelled loud enough to be clear on her mic.
She then says "he came up and grabbed me, it's OK, he's not armed".

Good news is that the man has been arrested and charged - effective policing. No one killed.

Rising threat of terrorism in the UK
              FTFY

Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said around 10 per cent of 800 live investigations now involve far-right extremists – a “significant increase” on previous years.
              % increase please

However he added that Islamist jihadism was “still by far globally the biggest threat people face”.
“It has stabilised at a very high level of 30 per cent more than two years ago,” Mr Basu said. “The extreme right wing is starting from a very low base but a 17 per cent rise in hate crime should make us all pause for thought.”
Yep both terrorism. But the figures seem to be missing. 10% of active investigations are Far right. So that means the rest are what cause?

Is all hate crime only perpetrated by far right extremists?

              as always its complicated.

              try this

              https://researchbriefings.files.parl...3/CBP-7613.pdf

The majority (79%) of prisoners in custody for terrorism related offences on 31 March 2019 declared themselves as Muslim

No I didn't listen to the clip, I believed the eye witness account. From the source. As you say we can't hear him say it but it is unequivocally stated by the Anchor that he did.

Interesting your suggestion he didn't say the words despite witnesses is a bit odd!

Do you think it was a racist attack?

                Yes a lucky escape.

Probably became a racist after reading the Daily Mail...

You should listen to the clip, since it's live audio from someone who had a microphone on them and it picks up sounds.
Maybe he said it before he got near her?
Maybe he said it after he was going away from her?

Is an un-named "eye witness" more reliable than an actual live audio feed?

I have now listened and as you say you don't hear it. However credible eye witnesses can be used as evidence in court. The station has gone on record to say so as have the Wail so they must be pretty sure he did otherwise their lawyers would be qualifying it.

Of all the video footage of the George Floyd killing did you hear any of the police make any racist comments or gestures?
