    Local lockdown

It look like Leicester is the first to return to lockdown, any ideas why lockdown failed? Has the virus mutated, lockdown not been followed, did the major refuse to lock down the city in some wired Republican support of Trump?

What's the point of keeping lockdown in it's current state if it is already failing?

All very odd, it looks like there is more to this than we are being told.

We need a wall and Leiecster should pay for it.

Bit harsh to blame the Major. There are plenty of places where lockdown rules have been widely flouted, so I expect Leicester to be the first of many areas to have restrictions reinstated.
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

Language barriers among Leicester'''s Asian community '''could have added to city'''s coronavirus spike'''

City councillor Ratilal Govind said he thought a lack communication with people who do not speak English as a first language could be one factor behind the increasing numbers. Some 49 per cent of Leicester’s 340,000 population is of Asian heritage or from black backgrounds while in east Leicester that figure is around two thirds.
“I have seen young people getting together, having a few drinks and conversation,” the Labour councillor told the MailOnline.

“They are just social gatherings. With these young people there is a language barrier. They are speaking their own language and I tell them to disperse in Gujarati.
“There is a lack of communication made worse by the language barriers.”
The city's director of public health, Ivan Browne said health conditions such as diabetes and pockets of deprivation could also be to blame.
He said: “We know that these factors combine to create a high-risk, more vulnerable, population that's more susceptible to coronavirus”.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

You need to visit Leicester to understand. There is a large emigration population with houses packed to the maximum. Often UK laws are not understood or ignored eg. rubbish and old furniture dumped in the streets. The same is in parts of North London.

The reason I said what I did last night about Leicester is that it is an unusually high incidence in children in Leicester.
That's going to be reassuring to people having to send their children back to school...Oh, and people must go to the jobcenter from next week otherwise get their benefits cut-off, will this also apply in Leicester?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
