I have a few business ideas to test and develop, but maybe also this is the time to consider moving to Australia / New Zealand or Canada.
    Yes, exactly this.

Critical illness, Income protection, BUPA, Denplan alone are £380/month then there's all many monthly subscriptions, Netflix, Amazon etc which probably add up to another £100.

At the end of the day, cancelling these could buy me a month's survival down the line if things really got that bad.

Not so sure about ditching the BUPA though. I reckon it would cost way more that I'm paying now to but back in down the road.

I jacked in IT contracting some time back.
The incessant travel and a few other things claimed my health and first marriage.
I sometimes contract as a business strategist. I am also an investor.
In one my roles I talk to people looking to jack in the rat race daily.
The key thing to quiting the rat is to take your time to find the right thing for you.
When I was a business broker I had so many career changers on my books so I know quite a bit. Any questions - do feel free to ask me.
The business magazine I produce gets over 10,000 career changers as readers every issue.

I chucked it in in October and became a full time Amazon seller, making around £10k a month, which is fine by me.
