So over 1 million dead from Covid-19 by the end of this year?

Daily and total confirmed COVID-19 deaths - Our World in Data..

Seems steady at 5,000 people dead per day. More than half a million dead already, seems a fair guess that we will have over 1,000,000 dead before the year is out.

But at least the govt are doing something, we get the starter when we go out for dinner for free...

    And?

FFS, people die from influenza every year. Even more die with influenza!

There is no magic cure for Covid 19. We haven't reached Spanish Flu figures yet but if we do, does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? We're a transient species on this planet, why are we so arrogant to think that we won't become extinct eventually?

Another moron who compares this to flu. This kills healthy young adults, and those that don't die are left with strokes, brain damage, scarred lungs and permanent health issues.

You really need urgent medical help.

No-one gets out of life alive. Humans will find a way to kill themselves off one way or another; we are a self-destructive species.

                Fixed for you...

You also greatly underestimate the damage flu does both short and long term or just how similar some of the outcomes are from both flu and covid...

                lung damage
                heart failure
                asthma complications
                diabetes complications
                myocarditis
                pericarditis
                pneumonia
                bronchitis
                stroke complications

At the start of this when some people said it was just a "bit of flu"... They weren't down playing COVID -they where downplaying FLU. FLU is nasty!

We're also going the right way to making the planet uninhabitable.

Talking of which, the couple down the road, I mentioned previously, who put out at least 6 bin bags a week, broke all previous records last week and put out 14 bags. I guess they'd been doing a bit of post-lockdown consumer catch up.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

Maybe they're killing off the local wildlife and just had a bumper week for road kills?
