        Avoid snacking

Avoid snacking - helps wonders. Struggle in the evenings for a while but now not at all. All in the head.

We know that snacking late at night isn’t a good idea, but until recently, there was little research into what health benefits we could gain from avoiding it. A recent study by leading expert, Professor Satchin Panda, showed that mice who were restricted to eating within an 8-10 hour window were completely protected from obesity, type-2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease!

Professor Panda discusses the findings of his fascinating research in the latest episode of the Feel Better, Live More podcast. Amazingly, he found that mice could still reap the health benefits of eating within a restricted time window even if they were on a highly processed unhealthy diet. And incredibly, the mice who ate this highly processed unhealthy diet within an 8-10 hour window could out-run mice who ate a healthy diet but at random times of the day and night!

But what does this mean for humans? Professor Panda and his team have devised an app that was able to track the behavior of moderately unhealthy people and it found that when they ate within a 10 hour window, they were able to lose 4-5% of their body weight within 16 weeks. Furthermore, they were able to maintain the weight loss over the following year. The participants felt more energetic, slept better and had no acid reflux or heart burn.

Seen very heated threads about this on the myfitnesspal forum. Is obesity a disease/condition or a poor life choice?

The body positive movement in the US want you to check your 'thin privilege' because it's Trump's fault they're overweight.

              Great things about to happen!

              1) trade deal with the US so folks will have access to levels of delicious processed food never seen before
              2) sell/privatise the nhs so the fat bastards will have now to pay for their weight loss surgery
              3) PROFIT!!

It's not necessarily an either / or. Lung cancer is a disease, even when it's caused by cancer.

Point is they are saying it's not their fault they are overweight like it is a condition that they have no control over.
