    The Report

“ However, the report concludes that there is no direct evidence of Russian influence in the 2016 Brexit referendum.”

Russia report: Kremlin 'tried to meddle in Scottish independence vote' - but did not target Brexit

And why there would be direct evidence when people who can get it know they will be whacked later in Britain even if that involves usage of banned chemical weapons?

If the Daily Torygraph already knows what is n the report, is there any point in releasing it?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

The report, due to be published at 10:30 BST, is based on secret intelligence material from the UK's spy agencies as well as contributions from independent experts.

The EU was slowly forming the shape of the Soviet Union and that's what got people to vote out.

There is your Russian connection. Had they not done their Bolschevik revolution, we would still enjoy waving blue flag with yellow stars sewed on.

Read it, pretty boring and nothing that anyone with an iota of intelligence didn't already know or suspect. the interesting bits would be the annex and oral testimony

It seems like the report is mostly whinging and whining that Russia doesn't have "real" democracy - that is the Western media cannot influence their elections like they do at home.

The problem is that the report didn't mention IR35.

The government's response which must have been prepared in advance for it to be out so quick:

                    https://assets.publishing.service.go...accessible.pdf

Basically, blag blah blah, yeah yeah yeah, we already do pretty much all that. The questions is still, why did Johnson sit on it for so long?

Not going to bother with the EU referendum:

We have seen no evidence of successful interference in the EU Referendum. The Intelligence and Security Agencies produce and contribute to regular assessments of thethreat posed by Hostile State Activity, including around potential interference in UKdemocratic processes. We keep such assessments under review and, where necessary, update them in response to new intelligence, including during democratic events such as elections andreferendums. Where new information emerges, the Government will always consider the mostappropriate use of any intelligence it develops or receives, including whether it is appropriateto make this public. Given this long standing approach, a retrospective assessment of the EUReferendum is not necessary.
                    Although the report does state:

“[Paragraph 47] …Whilst the issues at stake in the EU referendum campaign are lessclear-cut, it is nonetheless the Committee’s view that the UK intelligence and securitycommunity should produce an analogous assessment of potential Russian interference inthe EU referendum and that an unclassified summary of it be published
