Tough on wealth creation, tough on the causes of wealth creation.

    HMRC wagging the Tory dog.

“what are the drivers of continuing use of disguised remuneration tax avoidance”

Hugh tax and zero risk to promoters/creators of these tax evasion schemes

“whether there are any variations of disguised remuneration schemes not covered”

“where can the government take further action to tackle disguised remuneration tax avoidance beyond its planned approach”

Cut taxes and start putting in jail promoters/creators and top users of these “schemes”

Fecking ridiculous they have to ask

It is, and I will read it over the weekend and respond with the bleedin' obvious as they need to be told. HMRC will ignore it as that doesn't fit with their world view but it needs to be said.

There is also too much complexity and nuance around IR35.

Tax proprietary directors as if they were sole traders:

          Class 4 NIC
          Income Tax
Apply full Income Tax to divis
          Normal pension rules

          Works in Ireland fine.

They will just up divi rates for everybody - in the interest of “fairness”

Why can't contractors go cash in hand? Builders and handymen do it.

Good job we don't have rampant inflation. Just think of all the wheelbarrows needed to carry all the money

Mainly because most of our customers don't have a big enough petty cash box.

Don't be silly. It means those in charge would have to pay more tax.
