    Delay the US election

So looks like Donald wants to delay the election.

Things need to be back to normal otherwise the election will be "unfair".
    I'm alright Jack

I've heard people suggest he might try something like this for ages, and written them off as cranks.

    Wow.

Now, does he actually have any authority to do this or is it just hot air?

At the same time, not entirely hot air. The goal is to create a narrative, allowing him to undermine the result and refuse to leave the WH. What happens then is not exactly clear, but obviously a very ugly transition.

There's a scramble now to understand what he could do to delay - can he change the law before November?

          If there's a way, he'll find it.

According to Donald he is the Chosen One and has absolute authority granted by Article 2 of the US Constitution

He will lose and leave but immediately launch Trump 2024

Only Congress can change the date. This is snowflake Trump trying to deflect from the bad economy figures released today while his wife redesigns the Rose garden
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Trump doesn't make laws, dummy, he only issues Executive Orders, which have limited scope and can be overturned by the judiciary. The Democrats control the House.

Yet he has sent federal forces into Portland who cannot be identified when he realised he couldn't use the army. Now they bundle people into unmarked vehicles who they don't like - this is Fascism.

                    Like I said, he'll find a way.
