US was staying in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001 (Obama-Biden inherited that mess).

Syria presence was minimal (special ops and air support from Iraq), Libia - short and effective military operation (in 2011) with minimal costs (as evident from flat budget).

It’s totally fooked, but at a very low cost to the US taxpayers.

It is for the US taxpayers and US shale oil producers.

Not ok for the infamous all powerful military industrial complex.

As far as defence spending who cares? I'm not American so I don't care what they spend their money on. I do care that Trump isn't trying to actively destabilize the middle east or any other region like bush, clinton, bush, Obama did. What a trainwreck that was.

I don't know as VP how much influence biden had on Obama's arab spring policies and other disastrous foreign policy decisions so wasn't trying to stay anything negative about Biden. Just saying as a non american I don't understand how anyone could be anti trump.

Who doesn't want usa to be isolationist? Who doesn't want them to have less aggressive foreign policy? I just don't get it, we should be welcoming the softer touch.

If the dems were campaigning on an anti-interventionist platform as well they'd all think having a more stable and peaceful world was a great idea. Trump doesn't necessarily want to shrink the US military but he does want to get out of the ME, bring troops home and have the strongest military in the world that isn't deployed all over the place in 'forever wars'.

I care about US foreign policy because it's effectively our foreign policy as well.

Even more so after the dreaded 'B' word has finally played out
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
