          So what happens when someone needs urgent medical care and the bridge is closed and the route to the best / nearest hospital is blocked?

            Same argument was mooted when they last did road closures and people asked if it was ok to stop people like nurses and firefighters from getting to work and XR basically said something along the lines of, "sorry for the inconvenience".

            I would like to think that if an ambulance / fire engine / police car came through on blues they'd move aside.
