    Boomed!

Finished the last contract end of Feb then the market died and so I took the summer off. *
Got back to applying for a new role in August after some sun and travels, interviewed and started a new contract this month.
Top company, outside IR35, WFH full time, best ever rate.

There is still hope in the market!

        Congrats.

Location and type of role would help others understand whether there is hope for them too

London based, but WFH. BA/PM/Scrum Master type role, finance related.

There was literally nothing in March/April, then some public sector stuff started coming up, often requiring security clearance.
It's gradually improved with more private sector coming in, though a fair bit of inside IR35 only and some lower rates compared to last year.
