            The church of Iceland largely are of liberal theology, and don't believe Jesus actually was God's son. They believe that he was an example of how we should live, and therefore representing him as he a woman or Asian or otherwise different from a resident of the middle East is ok. It's what Jesus represents that matters to them.

            It's being going for years, so nothing new to see. Move along.

            What liberals have that the conservatives often miss is that if theology doesn't address suffering and meet people where they're at, then it's no theology at all.
