It's all a bit tulip from him isn't it?

First, we are once again asking office workers who can work from home to do so. In key public services and in all professions where home working is not possible, such as construction or retail, people should continue to attend their workplaces.

So bascially getting people back into the office was a big ****-up in the first place

Second, from Thursday, all pubs, bars and restaurants must operate a table service only, except for takeaways. Together with all hospitality venues, they must close at 10pm.

Eat out to help out was big ****-up as well then...

And to help the police enforce this rule that means, alas, closing not just calling for last orders, because simplicity is paramount.

Third, we will extend the requirement to wear face coverings to include staff in retail, all users of taxis and private hire vehicles and staff and customers in indoor hospitality, except when seated at a table to eat or drink.

Pretty much what every other country has put into law for a long time...

Fourth, in retail, leisure and tourism and other sectors, our Covid-secure guidelines will become legal obligations.

Surely they should have been in the first place...

Fifth, now is the time to tighten up the rule of six. I’m afraid that from Monday a maximum of 15 people will be able to attend wedding ceremonies and receptions, though up to 30 can still attend a funeral as now.

Six...but you mention 15 and 30 in the same paragraph.

We will also have to extend the rule of six to all adult indoor team sports.

I can't see these measures making that much difference.
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

Then in 2 weeks we will have stricter measures and so on until Xmas.

Retailers with an online presence need to tell people if they can't wear a mask they can't come into their stores.

One thing, just one thing that he said since his lips started moving. What is that one thing that he said that'll change everyone's behaviour tomorrow to stop this awful disease?

I look forward to breathing the safe, clean air of packed restaurants at 21:59 and then put a mask on when it all goes bad at 22:00

People should individually asses their own risk and get on with it.

Government can't fix this. It's bizarre that people keep looking to him for explanations as to why we are not all living life as normal.

In an ideal world yes. In my locality is made up by A+B demographics therefore well educated and will do the right thing. However, there are always the odd one or two (young and old) who either don't care or who are rebellious in the wrong situation e.g wont wear masks and won't social distance.

Johnson says he is confident that, by the spring, the situation will be “vastly, vastly improved”.
Which year? Either everyone will be dead or dying or the economy will be shot to shreds and the country will be bought by a Russian oligarch...

Exactly this. The way things are going it won't be long before people will be expecting the government to tell them how to wipe their arse.
