          13 years of contracting, never taken an EU based job. Always UK clients although that hasn't precluded travel to EU countries and beyond.

            Why? Because is't not something like 55%.

            Yes, if you earn €265k a year, tax is 45%, and a solidarity surcharge of 5.5% of the income tax.

                      Wasn't the UK in the EU during those 13 years or are you really that old and were contracting prior to the UK joining
