Unfortunately Wetherspoons opened up before the Mecca Bingo halls failed so they are just empty and rotting. Doesn't help that some of them have listed bits.

Yes, I see what you mean. The Mecca bingo halls were, in themselves, often located in premises that were themselves once cinemas I suppose. I think mine was a more general point that I know of several Wetherspoons pubs that are located in buildings that were once cinemas though the one in Cardiff , on second thoughts, is located in an old theatre as I seem to recall they have retained the ornate stage as a feature.
