Sturgeon also announces extra measures for the central belt in Scotland.

In the central belt snooker and pool halls, bowling alleys, casinos and bingo halls will have to shut for a fortnight from Saturday.

People in these areas will also be told to avoid public transport unless journeys are absolutely necessary.

The "central belt", for the purposes of these restrictions, is the health boards covering Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Arran, Lothian, and Forth Valley

A SERIES of apparent leaks reveal details of a social curbs the Scottish Government is said to be preparing to land on Scots later today.

All pubs and bars will be forced to close for 16 days from Saturday, October 10 to Sunday, October 25 under a "brake to the virus", according to one document - potentially with longer shutdowns for the Central Belt.

But cafes and holiday accommodation will remain open, and "financial compensation" is being prepared for the holiday sector, screenshots purporting to be of Scottish Government policy and guidance suggest.

The details emerged ahead of a statement by Nicola Sturgeon in parliament at 2.50pm today.
I know it's conjecture at the moment but I had to jump on that and ask why?? Does that include cafes and other public venues that may serve alcohol?

Edit: Apparently it's not conjecture. More importantly, I've just read that Brussels is closing its bars for 1 month. Hope they reopen in time for my planned Christmas Market visit at the start of December!

If this is any surprise to whoever is reading this and the same person can't see it getting worse then you need a reality check.

Was gauranteed to happen the day they announced pubs could open again. Even if Scooter had predicted this I'd have believed him.

To all those moaning about losing their liberties and not being able to live a normal life I've got news for you....It's going to get much much worse.

Anyway, this isn't about public health, she wanted to create a smokescreen for all this stuff...

I know it's not Scotland related but I made a very stupid mistake of going to the Trafford Center on Saturday as I had to return an item in Selfridges before it expired. I figured park outside the door, pop straight in, return at the first till and run for it would be safe enough. **** me... I kid you not but it was like xmas. Shoulder to shoulder rammed. Unbelieveable. Non mask wearers were in the vast majority but still a lot of them. 3 hours queues to get out apparently which hit the news. Why is this happening in the middle of a growing crisis?

We're proper ****ed unless people start taking it more seriously.

Why when 99%+ of people recover from it?
