Vodafone roaming charges in the EU

Just had this text on my UK phone

"To retrieve your voicemail click and dial **** UK number. Call costs £6 plus standard net rate"

Saw a similar one the other day n all, thought nothing of it. I have to use a UK number for certain businesses / clients who cannot accept a EU number. If they think I'm paying that they can go and whistle.

So much for Vodafone saying they'll not increase prices.

Why not just get a Skype number or similar? Not that dear last time I looked (about £25 a year) - although it was a while ago admittedly.

Yes you can get a UK number and you can even choose the town. People ring that number and it comes through to your skype. I've never had one myself (thought about it once), so can't really tell you any more.

It's a small price worth paying for independence and freedom to trade with the world.

I do. Vodafone funded brexit as they weren't happy with their current lenient tax evasion setup and the billions of global profit, instead preferring to try profiteer over the cultured ones who wish to roam the rest of Europe when they feel like it.

You do seem like the argumentative type who would be easily diddled over by almost any business, to be fair, so you're welcome to live in your permanent stage of ignorance.

All that means is that Vodafone have decided that you have completely abused their roaming agreement..

                    Seems fair.

Just get a UK VOIP number should cost you £5 a month max.
