The local brassiere maker has gone bust. The submarine company has gone under and a food blender manufacturer has gone into liquidation. Further, a dog kennel maker has called in the retrievers and an origami company has folded.
A local strip club has gone t*ts up and Interflora is pruning staff in every branch.
We have just been informed that Dynorod has gone down the drain and tragically, the local ice-cream seller has been found covered in nuts chips and raspberry sauce: he topped himself.

Or rather, we went into today's meeting unanimously agreeing among ourselves that we wanted our own way.

The Mancunians went down to 65 million but the government only offered 60 million, surely they could find that extra 5 million by just scrapping this un-needed bollocks: Highways England rebrand accused of being an 'offensive' waste of GBP7m | Politics | The Guardian
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

This thread misses the historical issues with communication from Westminster.

Most information and decisions are taken prior to consultation with the regions. This is covered in this series:

Coronavirus: Could the world have been spared? | Financial Times

    Specifically this article:
Will coronavirus break the UK? | Financial Times

When you then read this article, within the series, it becomes clear the mayors and devolved First Ministers are being kept out of the loop on crucial information and a London/south east centric approach is being utilised that has meant Manchester, for example, came out of restrictions too soon some months ago, which has had a worsening effect when we fast forward to the present day.
