    Far from his ass kicked!?

Watching the debate this morning, admittedly the highlights which often show Trump at his worst. I have to say Trump made more sense, answered the questions directly and definitely came out looking the better of the two.

The bar is VERY low but while Joe had better-prepared points, he was very ponderous and stumbled over his words often. I think it's a shame they didn't let Joe stand 4 years ago.

If this debate was the only thing I'd seen, I wouldn't really find it hard to believe people would choose Trump... as it is it's probably too late to convince people anyway.

Apparently 55m have already voted, so it'll probably make little difference. (Turn out 4 years ago was 136m.)
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

Trump was tremendous in the debate. His USP is that he does not do political correctness and that brings him a huge following. He has cultivated a huge cult status and no amount of scandal or mud slinging will bring him down. This one is in the bag, another four years and hopefully an amendment to constitution for yet another four. #MAGA

The trick with good trolling is to leave some shred of believability.

Biden clearly has to spend 3 or 4 days memorising passages of chat for these things, but he is crap at delivery and doesn't have the memory to get the words to his mouth in time and order. From about 30 to 60 minutes he was stumbling bad. Biden got better later on as he might have spent more time on that stuff.

Trump is undoubtedly able to do these things pretty much unrehearsed.

And while people on CNN can sit and say "well, it seemed to be more civilised and Trump didnt land a blow". Trump clearly had specific groups to target with specific phrases and talking points. "who built the cages Joe" multiple times, black incarceration from Biden legislation and Biden fooked up royal with the oil and fracking chat. Trump thinks like a golfer, getting your bad shots better will improve your game more than spending time on your good shots.

Maybe there's a link between health and age. Who'd have thought it.

Trump did have a couple of good lines, the "you had 8 years to do this" one being the strongest. He also just repeats lies/disputed claims verbatim over and over ignoring any response. e.g "you said you'd ban fracking" / "no I didn't" / "yes you did" in both debates.

At 70+, standing for 90 minutes and having to think on your feet is really quite a feat for either candidate. They're not allowed any notes at all, right? I mean that puts your Dragons' Den pitch into perspective!
