    Maximum wage reduced to £25,600

Rishi’s new plan to follow his popular “Eat out to die out” coronavirus spreading scheme.

Now he wants his father-in-law to be able to undercut all British workers who earn more than £25,600. Effectively establishing a new maximum wage at a level low enough to qualify for extra handouts like housing benefit and working tax credits.

Or, you could think of all those people who live and work in the UK but are not UK nationals who were worried that they'd have to leave their families behind and leave the country if they didn't earn enough to be allowed to remain.

And... The starting rate for a nurse is still less than that but we don't need them or fruit pickers or cleaners cos the UK has plenty enough people willing and able

What's the typical starting wage for a Nurse in the UK in 2020?

There's a special lower rate for "in demand" workers, so foreigners should still be able to undercut British nurses and ruin their lives.

Not sure about the fruit pickers, I think the problem there is that farmers have to pay British people minimum wage because they generally have somewhere to live. Farmers can get round this by charging immigrants a fortune for some hovel in a barn or whatever.
