A suspect was shot and detained shortly afterwards.
Rookie mistake by the French Gendarmerie

      1: Empty magazine into suspect
      2: Reload and repeat 1

Check for pulse, if present repeat 1:

Wasn't the EU mooting a "majority vote" by members to prevent individual states (i.e. UK) blocking key policies

It must be bad if refugees are leaving France, risking and sometimes losing their lives trying to reach the UK for proper asylum. Can't just be down to knowing the lingo (English) to make them think doing such a boat trip with young children is worth the risk. They can't all be gimigrants being sold the UK is land of free housing and bennies for life.

Therefore France is a defacto tuliphole.

Nah, they'll get better results keeping the perp aliive long enough to lead them to any others involved in planning such acts and to find out what network may be behind it all. Then put him in the covid ward so no enquiry as to cause of death, just another 'died with covid' statistic.

but they'd need that to be agreed rather than vetoed.

The whole thing is daft. There's no way Turkey is joining the EU in the next several decades. Britain will be back in first.
This is just the same nonsense being peddled by the same idiots, who have yet to get over the fact that they won. The idiots.

                yes it is.
However more are applying in France anyway. Asylum statistics - Statistics Explained

But we've had enough of facts haven't we?

There is more chance of the UK and Turkey creating their own common market than there is of Turkey joining the EU which means that Johnson and Farage's lies of millions of Turkish people coming to the UK will become true
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Not with the current nutter in charge. The EU has to expand, and Turkey is perfect, if a change of leadership can be arranged...

The 9mm is a bit less effective than the .45 Martini Henry, Colour Sergeant.

And it's FMJ rather than plain lead which makes it even worse.

Though I'm quite sure the chap would rather be enjoying his raisins as a martyr.
