Wasn't this guy from tunisia? and aren't most of the recent terrorist attacks from people from north africa rather than turkey?

I get that Erdogan is an evil dictator and all would also be good to note that he has had to cheat to win his last couple elections and even then only narrowly won, he doesnt have the support of the people, so would be good to separate this evil dictator and the evil government from the turkish people who mostly want a calm peaceful secular country.

So why do the vast majority of Turks vote for Erdogan?

They didnt he doesn't have a majority... And that was with widespread voter fraud, he did not win a majority.

There was also the coup which he barely made it out with his life.

Then his party lost the İstanbul election even with widespread fraud again, then he cheated called a new election, cheated some more and still lost.

Just curious what you're talking about?!?

This is just the same nonsense being peddled by the same idiots, who have yet to get over the fact that they won. The idiots.

The sophisticated Turks live mostly on or hear the Mediterranean, but they are vastly outnumbered by a huge population of ignorant donkey riding peasants living inland, and presumably it's the latter who Erdogan appeals to.

Please tell me which is wrong.

Which facts? He formed a coalition in both parliament and presidential elections to be able to have a majority because he had lost support, he was previously able to rule with majority from his party alone.

A large amount of his base has abandoned him. He was the candidate of economic prosperity and can no longer claim that so he's got to double down on being the candidate for islam. Sucks for turkey, hopefully the people will take their country back.

same reason the Russians vote for Putin? It is very clear the alternative will be personally very unpleasant.

Lots of Turkic and Russian people, especially in the sticks love these strong leaders. The gap between haves and have-nots in these countries is far wider than the UK.

They're in power due to a equal mixture of culture and corruption.

Sounds just like someone who is coming up for re-election soon...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
