    2.1 Core employee eligibility criteria
Employers can claim for employees who were employed and on their PAYE payroll on 30 October 2020. The employer must have made a PAYE Real Time Information (RTI) submission to HMRC between the 20 March 2020 and 30 October 2020, notifying a payment of earnings for that employee.

Im surprised they agreed to this. It means anyone added to payroll right up to 30 Oct can now be furloughed! Which is madness but they are the rules.

It does not cover pay increases awarded to employees on 29 Oct contractually but not taken effect yet

checked with accountant as well and he gives it thumbs up - free money for all
It only works with contractors if your company is contractually obliged to pay yourself a salary.

Otherwise any PAYE is technically a bonus and you can't claim.

It works if you are on the RTI payroll which is the implementation of contractually obliged payment salary

Do you have any evidence of LTD directors not being able to qualify for this and your statement of PAYE being treated as a bonus?

It's already a depression for many. If it wasn't just the typical piss-poor management of career politicians with no real world experience listening to career academics with no real world experience, having their strings pulled by the parasites leaching off the country through priviledge I'd say they had a plan and this is first phase of a citizens income, as it will be cheaper to pay the 'useless' to sit at home on 'furlough' rather than risk them becoming restless, uprising and overthrowing government and all the cronies it supports.

Look forward to when afformentioned clueless muppets start putting up taxes for those still working after normality returns, to pay for all the unemployed that were previously furloughed and to pay the covid bill, despite it being a piss in the ocean compared to national debt that isn't ever going to be paid off.

you know what they say sadly its true

There is an old joke among economists that states: A recession is when your neighbour loses his job. A depression is when you lose your job.
The difference between the two terms is not very well understood for one simple reason: There is not a universally agreed upon definition. If you ask 100 different economists to define the terms recession and depression, you would get at least 100 different answers. That said, the following discussion summarizes both terms and explains the differences between them in a way that almost all economists could agree with.

for people understanding how society is functioning lately it is deeply demoralising.
They are paying the stupids not to cause trouble while they are bailing out the ruling class in the background.
When they are done doing that it will get very fair very quick.

This new form of capitalism alongside new era of "bulltulip jobs" created just to keep people from causing trouble and creating some kind of structure in society.
You could argue first class citizens get free money while they get furloughed and wfh, second class citizens are in customer facing roles or essential jobs being paid minimum wage. Couldn't get more "tale of two cities than this".

Aye, and third class citizens are those without any employee support while paying employee taxes, and no guarantee of any work beyond some paper commitment. Some call them contractors, others well paid mugs. Better than being the less well paid 'zero hours' equivalent though.

                      Bread and circuses.

                      It's a tried & tested method.
