    A trading bloc isn't the same thing as a single political entity with legal supremacy and highly questionable democracy (although if China had their way, it probably won't be long) but deep down, I'm sure you already know that...

            Free movement (except it isn't universally free movement, but we'll gloss over that) was never something I had a problem with. I would even have accepted 'free movement' - with obvious tweaks - as part of a trade deal.

                  India was also part of the negotiations, but it pulled out last year over concerns that lower tariffs could hurt local producers.
