    BOOM : Vaccine No 3

    http://BBC News - Covid: Oxford vacc...ealth-54993652

The Oxford coronavirus vaccine shows a strong immune response in adults in their 60s and 70s, raising hopes that it can protect age groups most at risk of illness from the virus.

Researchers say the Lancet phase two findings , based on 560 healthy adult volunteers, are "encouraging".

They are also testing whether the vaccine stops people developing Covid-19 in larger, phase three trials.

Early results from this crucial stage are expected in the coming weeks.

Three vaccines - Pfizer-BioNTech, Sputnik and Moderna - have already reported good preliminary data from phase three trials, with one suggesting 94% of over-65s could be protected from Covid-19.

The UK has already ordered 100 million doses of the Oxford vaccine, manufactured by AstraZeneca, 40 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and five million of the Moderna vaccine.

The challenge with developing a Covid vaccine is to trigger the body to fight back against the virus no matter how old someone is.

This isn't BBC news, do you have a comment to make regarding the provision of the vaccine?

Presumably then, when you go to get your vaccine you get to go through the Monty Hall problem
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I wonder which Kremlin troll paid the BBC to say that Sputnik is reliable

Vaccines are like buses you wait a year for them then three come along at once.

Looking forward to the total chaos around how Boris and co are going to totally **** this up completely.

You won't know when or which vaccine you will receive. It will be an absolute shambles. They will probably drop another £10bn to a friend to organise, who will be working full time managing a brewery.

Hey if they can manage a social occasion in a brewery they will be better than a lot of government suppliers.

You will arrive at a car park in Tesco, to receive your vaccination, expecting them to pull out a vial with Pfizer or Moderna written on it and find it is written only in Chinese only with a skull and crossbones on it.
