“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay

Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,

The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Every day sets a new record at the moment.

A total of 1,041 people died within 28 days of a positive test, according to the latest government data.

There were also a further 62,322 new Covid cases, up from 60,916 the previous day.

The furlough scheme and other things are pretty down-to-earth and reasonably implemented.

There are a few million people most of whom are natural Tory voters who have been forgotten.
