Boris Johnson would lose majority and seat in election tomorrow – poll

“ The public are deeply unhappy with the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the Brexit negotiations, a damning new poll suggests.

The poll predicts that if a general election were held tomorrow neither the Conservatives nor Labour would win an outright majority. Disturbingly for Boris Johnson, the survey says the Conservatives would lose 81 seats, wiping out the 80-seat majority they won in December 2019.

It gives the first detailed insight into the public’s perception of Johnson’s handling of the Brexit talks and the pandemic, amid fears that Britain is heading into a third national lockdown.”

“ Results in Scotland would see the Scottish National party achieve a near complete sweep, winning 57 of the 59 Scottish seats. The poll also predicts the Liberal Democrats would be reduced to just two seats – in Bath and in Kingston and Surbiton – down from the current 11. One in four voters who supported the Lib Dems in 2019 said they will switch allegiance to Labour.”

Scotland will leave the UK no matter who is in government even if there is a pro EU government (which is highly unlikely). The UK government cannot be trusted.

I expect Scotland to be an EU member, the UK to join the single market and later the customs union so there will be (almost) ease of cross-border relations.

NI may go sooner than Scotland.

England's nuclear fleet will move to Portsmouth.

Well done PM Cameron for being such an idiot and having such a badly organised referendum.

George Galloway was and is a hard Brexiter and friend of Farage. Galloway said that he wants Brexit in order to destabilise and weaken the UK so it looses it's status as a world power. Well done Brexit voters, you have done the most unpatriotic act and will cause the breakup of the UK

When yuo start using Galloway as a justification, then you really have lost the argument.

On Andrew Marr just now, Johnson says:

“Referendums in my experience are not particularly jolly events. They don’t have a notably unifying force in the national mood. They should be only once in a generation.”
He's not ******* far off there although he was actually talking about the next (possible) Scottish referendum
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Brexit is material change on 2014 ref, so all this talk of “once in generation” is BS, no such law and it’s totally made up argument.

If (when) Scotland hits 60% it’s game over regardless of what No 10 thinks
