The objection to certifying Biden's win in Pennsylvania has just been rejected by the Senate 92-7.

Senate leader Mitch McConnell moved to end debate on the matter after Senator Hawley yielded his time, sparing everyone in the upper chamber a two-hour discussion.

McConnell says he does not expect any more challenges to the election results tonight.

But over in the House, lawmakers are continuing to debate the objection.

Congress certificates Biden as president

No senator joins Wisconsin objection, which is rejected

West Virginia received no objection.

Here’s Wisconsin which gave its 10 electoral votes to Biden.

Representative Louie Gohmert of Texas rises to object to the Wisconsin certification. He spools off a string of conspiracy theories about election irregularities.

“We object along with a senator who now has withdrawn his objection,” Gohmert says.

The Wisconsin objection is not supported by a senator. It stands for Biden.

“The objection cannot be entertained,” Pence says.

That dimwit press officer Kayleigh Whatever tweeted earlier that Trump had ordered the National Guard and then a bit later the acting Defense Secretary put the record straight by saying Pence, Delosi, etc. contacted him and he got the order from them. That awful woman has lied from day one but what do you expect from the corrupt Republicans?

When Trump first ran for president I was laughing on the CUK threads thinking it was too funny. Now any sane person is tired of the covidiot in charge. Time this clown left the circus, and take Bozo with you.

It's strange isn't it. Trump encouraged his supporters to vote in person, and to attend his rallies. Biden encouraged his supporters to stay safe by voting by post and didn't really hold mass rallies.

Then Trump's reasons for thinking there was electoral fraud.
1. There was hardly anyone at Biden's rallies, but thousands at his, so he's obviously far more popular
2. There were sudden dumps of hundreds of thousands of votes for Biden, where Trump was winning. (This was partly due to the arrival of postal votes).

It almost looks like he engineered his campaign so that in the event of a loss, he could plausibly (to stupid people) claim fraud. But I think it's more likely that he's just incapable of rational thought.

Would it be a valid move against freedom (as best we have it) to make certain types of lies unlawful?

Time people were held to account for their actions so more repercussions if they blatantly lie about something affecting the lives of others, with the bigger the impact the bigger the penalty. Trump would be screwed then.
