Joe Biden unveils $1.9tn US economic relief package - BBC News

President-elect Joe Biden has unveiled a $1.9tn (£1.4tn) stimulus plan for the coronavirus-sapped US economy before he takes office next week.

If passed by Congress, it would include $1tn for households, with direct payments of $1,400 to all Americans.

The relief proposal includes $415bn to fight the virus and $440bn for small businesses.

Mr Biden, a Democrat, has promised to beat the pandemic that has killed more than 385,000 people in the US.

He campaigned last year vowing to do a better job handling the virus than outgoing President Donald Trump, a Republican.

The direct payments of $1,400 would come on top of $600 payments provided in a relief bill enacted last month.

It all depend on how much inflation rise. If it does 5%+, they'll be forced to increase interest rate and stock will tank

"direct payment of $1,400 to all Americans"

Wonder when we'll get the same.

        Why not make it $14,000.

FIAT is doomed, btcoin is king. Sell your Ferraris now and buy Lambos.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

Correct. Dollar has to fall in reaction to this. This won’t be the last stimulus, there will be another in a couple months. All asset classes like gold and Bitcoin will see massive gains.

It won't in public terms, already here in real terms (shrinkflation).

The deflation of the global economy (2021 looking worse than 2020 with the way the endless lockdowns and mutant strains are rolling out) will initally offset the devaluation of the currency through them shaking the magic money tree, and all the major economic world powers are playing the same game. It ends with them needing to replace the currency and write of all the debt held in it to start again. Global agreement to avoid war will ensure it happens. Those holding real assets will simply get them priced in the new currency and the game starts again.

Maybe this is the real goal of what otherwise looks like piss-poor government handling of the pandemic by most of the world's countries and the apparent lack of foresight to plan things better for the future, instead relying on vaccines that even if effective against all the mutant strains will take over a year to roll-out fully once they come clean on supply issues with the logistics of making available billions of doses.

Maybe these are just incoherent ramblings of a moron. Doesn't mean I won't be right.

It's just supply and demand. By printing load of $$, it ends up having too much $$ chasing goods, which increases their cost.

Apparanently the alien lizards agree and thats why COVID vaccines contain octopus DNA so when we are no longer FIAT slaves we are still slaves to the aliens!

I won't believe it until AtW makes it official.
