Educated people whose contribution outweighs the strains on our housing, green spaces, utilities, roads etc are the migrants we do need but that is assured by strict immigration rules. Hong Kong may be a high performing place but it's simplistic to say that everyone who comes from there will be a high performer.

I have daily meetings with teams in Hong Kong

Every single person would rather eat there own testicles than move here, one guy said guantanamo bay is above UK on his list

        Reasons

        Seen as racist
        Housing
        Food
        Weather
        Family
        Drugs
        Low education standards
        Laughable NHS

Agree. Live in culture rich cosmopolitan city with a vibrant economy or live above a kebab shop in Birmingham...... tough choice...

Maybe, but it rather depends on how heavily China intends to crack down on rights.

Rights? You don't talk about rights in a Communist society, just obligations.
