Cover those webcams just to be sure.

If it's good enough for Zuckerberg ...

Though it won't help with zoom classes.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

I thought local authorities were doing their own thing. Mine is - I thought about offering my services, but it would be unpaid and I would have to pay for my DBS check. Feck that.
Also BBC local radio have a campaign going, and one of the England egg-chasers is fronting another campaign. Nothing about all of this looks in any way organised, which of course is the hallmark of Crapita (and the useless feckers you mentioned).
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

I was told £35-ish, depending how quickly I want it.

Hmm, looking online they claim £23 even for volunteers though you might have been required to get an enhanced DBS which costs more (DBS check: application process for volunteers - GOV.UK)

However my wife definitely got one done for about £3 for a volunteer... maybe some special case or maybe the 'employer' can do them cheaper. The time is a bigger concern, my current client's client insists we all have them and like all government IT, it's tedious

My kid's school has pretty strict policies against turning your camera on. Audio only.

The DBS check process is pants, can't share, the auto renew is tedious etc.

You can share? You can get a code and a URL to send to whoever wants to know? Sadly my client wanted a scan of the hardcopy so they had to wait for that to arrive instead.
